Poppy came to her foster home after a little bit of a rough start, because of this, she was very slow to trust anyone. However, after a month or two she's a completely different pup!
She isn't looking for a home that wants to smother her in love, but rather she would love a home with a cozy bed with a blanket, snacks, and people to be with. While she doesn't want to be a lap dog, she very much wants to be wherever you are. She may keep her distance if you try to approach, but if you walk away she's right behind you wanting to keep tabs on you.
She is puppy pad trained, and mostly house-broken, there are still a few accidents here or there (but that's mainly her foster mom's house for waiting too long to take her out). She gets the cutest little zoomies in the yard and is okay with dogs of any size.
Because she doesn't like to be handled, Poppy needs a calm home without children, and ideally someone home with her.
This little girl is small, but I promise you she will take up a huge space in your heart. If you're interested in adopting her, please fill out an adoption interest form on our website.
