Meet Winter & Zuzu!

Meet the adorable duo, Winter & Zuzu! Winter is the long hair pup, Zuzu has shorter fur. They’re 5-6 months, female, lab mixes. They were flown in from Mexico on Wednesday and they’re adapting pretty well. They have some scabs that are healing quickly and I’m making sure to fatten them up. They are pretty good in the kennel, sleeping through the night, they bark a little when another dog walks past. I’m fostering them with my dog and they do very well together. Winter is welcoming, Zuzu takes a little warming up but she was completely comfortable after the first day with us. They’re so sweet and cuddly. They play together and mostly entertain themselves. They’re very hungry girls! We’re working on potty training, they know to go outside, we’re having very few accidents but they’re still trying to figure out how to let me know when they have to go. I’m trying to teach them how to use the bells on the back door but mainly I just take them out every time they wake up, eat/drink, 20-30 minutes after eating/drinking, and randomly about every hour. They don’t potty in the kennel. If they do have an accident it’s usually on or near a potty pad. Winter does like shoes but listens as soon as I say “no”. Normal puppies! They don’t bite or nibble me, no scratching. They also walk pretty well on the leash.
