Meet Cloud & Blizzard!

Welcome to AH4S Cloud and Blizzard! These chinchilla girls are bonded and must be adopted together. They are 2 years old and will come with appropriate cages. Cloud (the light one) was purchased from a breeder and Blizzard (grey) was from a chain pet store. Their owner didn’t have time for them anymore. Chinchillas are exotic pets and require exotic veterinarians. Vet care can be unexpected and expensive. Have a plan. Keep in mind cages require DAILY cleaning that is a commitment and responsibility. Please do not inquire if you think that may get tiresome. Do research, too. Animals shouldn’t suffer because you “didn’t know”. Chinchillas need to be kept cool and dry. Temps should be from 60-75 degrees. They take regular dust baths and should not be placed in water. Their cage should be well ventilated. They should not have plastic hides or toys, as ingesting plastic can be lethal to them. Chins are most active at night- so plan on them running on their wheel then (it can be loud).
