Meet Mia! Mia has been with her current foster family for over a year. While they love her, they are not able to provide the level of training and correction that Mia deserves. Mia is reactionary when scared, and has bitten out of fear. She has worked with a trainer and does well with the
e -collar. Mia gets along with all dogs, walks on a leash, and is fully house trained. Mia prefers sleeping in bed with her human, as the crate scares her. She is well behaved in the house when left alone.
Mia came from Mexico where she was attacked with a machete. She had to do some recovery work on her back leg. She is fully recovered, but maintains a funny way of sitting to accommodate her leg. Mia is a lovable, loyal, sweet, and beautiful dog. She needs someone who will be committed to her training. She is “fixable” as far as the reactions and biting. Her trainer said she is 100% worth working with and can be cured of her tendencies. Mia is looking for a new temp foster home during the month of July, as well as a new permanent home. Her current foster family will be residing in Mexico for half of the year and can’t take Mia along. If you are interested in helping to rehabilitate and train this lovable girl, please contact her foster family. If you would like to meet me please contact my foster mom at 707-327-8283.
