Meet Bash!

Hi, my friends call me "Bash" because I'm a bit bashful. I'm about 10yrs old, a Chihuahua mix weighing about 10 pounds. I'm anxious in some situations but I still show and receive affection and I can put my nervousness aside for some tasty treats! I wasn't doing well at the animal shelter, but luckily now I'm coming alive in a loving home. I took a day to warm up here, but since then I've enjoyed cuddling up next to my foster Dad for nap time. Sudden movements can startle me, but if you reach out slowly I'll gladly accept your best head rubs and belly scratches and will let you pick me up. Even though I get startled and skittish, I still haven't shown any aggression or even barked at anyone since I've been here. I'm new to walking on leashes, but I've improved quickly and will let you take me out to pee when I give you the sign that I have to go out. I'm also learning how to sit on command. I've been eating in my crate and I'm working on spending more time alone in it, some days are better than others but I'm getting better. I've gotten a bit excited around dogs, so might be best if I'm the only doggo in the house for now. Recently neutered, up to date on shots, microchipped and ready for my forever home!
