LJ and Thumper are young female chinchillas. They were purchased from a big chain pet store in February for a teenaged girl. However, their family decided just 4 months later that they don’t have time for them. LJ and Thumper are curious, energetic and sweet. In true chin fashion, they don’t like much to be held, but prefer to interact with their human during floor time or to sniff them out while their cage is being maintained daily. They absolutely LOVE running on their wheel jumping around their cage. Chinchillas require commitment and dedication as they have very specific needs and can live to be over 20 years old.
