Check Local Ordinances and Bylaws of Your New Community
Moving with a pet can be difficult if you don’t do your research. There are a lot of restrictions placed on pets in many communities. For instance, if you are moving to a neighborhood where all pets had to weigh 30 pounds or less or maybe they only allow cats. You can save yourself a lot of stress if you do your moving homework.
Schedule a Veterinarian Visit Before Moving
Before you move, take your pet to the veterinarian to get all necessary vaccinations, medications and a copy of all their medical records. Once you have settled into your new home, have a list of veterinarians that you can contact to schedule a visit. Just like for humans, check out the vet by talking to neighbors or going there before bringing your pet(s).
