Meet Lil Dude! 🐾 Lil Dude is an adorable 2–3-year-old Shih Tzu mix weighing just under 16 pounds. This sweet, affectionate little guy is looking for a foster-to-adopt home where he can continue to thrive. He absolutely loves people, gets along well with other dogs, enjoys squeaky toys, and is happiest when he’s by your side—he’s definitely a Velcro dog! He has already been neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped, appears to be crate trained, knows how to use a doggie door, and is doing very well with potty training. He’s also learning basic manners like “sit” and is eager to please. Lil Dude would do best with someone who understands that he has a bit of separation anxiety and will need patience as he continues building confidence. He can be a little mouthy in a playful, puppy-like way but responds well to redirection and is making great progress. Because he loves to dart out the front door if given the opportunity, we are looking for a home without small children that is willing to make accommodations to prevent accidental escapes, such as using baby gates, double-door entry, or other management techniques. A secure yard is a must. He’ll also need regular professional grooming to keep his coat healthy and comfortable. Overall, Lil Dude is a happy, loving little companion who is ready to find a family that will help him continue to flourish. ❤️
