Meet Ivy. 💕
This sweet little girl is estimated to be around 13 years old and weighs just 9 pounds.
We don’t know exactly what Ivy has been through in her life, but sadly, her little body tells us it hasn’t always been easy. She was found wandering the streets of Las Vegas over a month ago with nails so long they had curled around and were making it difficult for her to walk. Thankfully, a kind Good Samaritan stepped in and got her to safety.
We believe Ivy is deaf, but that certainly doesn’t stop her from enjoying attention and affection. She’s actually pretty spunky for an old lady and still has plenty of personality! What she needs now is a gentle, loving home where she can spend the rest of her golden years being spoiled and adored.
Ivy only has a few teeth remaining, so she will need soft food.
Ivy is also not fully potty trained right now. At her age, and after everything she has been through, some of this may simply be confusion and adjusting to a new environment. We are working on potty pad training with her, but she may always have occasional accidents. She will need a patient, understanding adopter who knows that sometimes senior dogs need a little extra grace and cleanup along the way.
If you have a soft spot for seniors and would love to give this golden girl the retirement home she deserves, please fill out an adoption application for Ivy today. ❤️
