Meet Rooster! 🐾

Rooster is a 4-month-old Cane Corso mix who is already 30 pounds and growing like a weed! This handsome boy is ready to find his forever home, but because of his breed, we are looking for someone with extensive Cane Corso or similar guardian-breed experience. Breed experience and a home with a large, secure yard are required.

Rooster is a sweet little snuggle buddy who loves playing with his furry foster brothers and sister and is always looking to please his foster mom. He has already mastered the doggy door, alerts when someone is knocking, and is very generous with kisses and cuddles.

He does great with other large dogs and loves people. Because he is already 30 pounds at only 4 months old and still has a lot of growing to do, we are looking for a home without toddlers or very young children. He is playful and affectionate, but his size alone could easily knock over or unintentionally injure a small child.

No cats. No small dogs. These are not negotiable.

His foster mom has been working with him on harness and leash training, along with basic commands like sit, stay, and down. He is doing really well, but he is still a puppy and a work in progress. Potty training is coming along too, but he will need a family willing to continue providing patience, consistency, structure, and training.

Rooster takes three things very seriously:

  1. Mealtime — and snackies 😂

  2. Playtime and his toys

  3. Nap time, obviously

And because this boy is going to be BIG, that secure backyard will give him plenty of room to run, play, and leave his increasingly mighty little “deposits.” 😳😂

Rooster is going to make an amazing companion for the right home. He is sweet, smart, affectionate, and eager to please — he just needs a family who understands the breed and is prepared to give him the training, space, structure, and commitment he deserves.

Breed experience and a secure yard are required.
